  • Fatigue (lasts for 2-3 weeks)
  • Chills, sweating, and nausea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Severe chest congestion

Treatment:

  • No antivirals are available to treat the common cold and flu, but certain medicines can be used to lower the discomfort of the symptoms. Includes,
  • Analgesics to reduce fever and pain
  • Antihistamines to dry out the nasal discharge
  • Decongestants to get relief from chest congestion and stuffy nose
  • Antitussives to lessen the intensity of cough

  • Flu vaccine (shot or nasal spray)
